October New Moon 2024

October's new moon in Libra is exact at 1:50 PM CT today. New beginnings, new intentions, better balance, clearer communication in relationships, and possibly legal affairs or situations involving court or lawyers.

There is also a solar eclipse at 1:41 PM CT, magnifying the energy of the new moon. Do whatever you can to keep indecision at bay--avoid over thinking and self-doubt by meditating or taking a quiet moment before making a choice on something that's been going on lately.

Moon in Libra corresponds with the two of swords in the tarot, but since it's a new moon with a solar eclipse also in Libra, this may signal that you're done weighing options and ready to finalize a decision. It would especially apply to situations like, "Should I stay or should I go?" "Should I leave what's familiar or take this leap of faith?" and "Should I start a new learning/career path, or add to what I'm already doing?"

For the many who've been affected by Hurricane Helene, it has certainly been an extremely challenging time. Please know that I'm holding you close to my heart as you await the restoration of your utilities, reconnect with lost/missing persons/pets, and assess the damage.

I am thankful not to be living in an area affected by the hurricane, however this has been a difficult time for me and my family. First, an elderly family member was recently diagnosed with dementia, and then we unexpectedly lost another family member on September 29th. It was a shock, but not surprising as they had been dealing with health issues for several months. Unfortunately, it has put my husband and I into a whirlwind of medical decisions, legal paperwork/decisions, funeral arrangements, as well as full-time caregiving and figuring out how to pay multiple household bills.

On the positive side, my book is getting a second edition, with its original title, THE RECOLLECTION OF TREES, which will be out the week before Halloween. The sequel, BLUE WILLOW WITCH, will be published in May 2025, and I'm thrilled to say that the audiobook for book one will also be released in April 2025. Yay!
