January New Moon: Capricorn

I've set the intention to include a little more information about the lunar cycles in 2024. I hope to post more often on social media, but we'll see how it goes.

January 3, 2024: The last quarter moon is exact today at 9:32 PM CT, in Libra. This is the time to release and let go of any patterns, habits, or situations that have become obstacles. It’s a good time to forgive, clean house, or finish a project. Maybe just start with putting away holiday decorations (if your holiday is over).

January 7, 2024: The waning crescent moon in Scorpio today is about the energy of surrender, peace, and rest. Don’t push yourself if things feel frustrating or tense. Better to take a step back and reassess or at least re-read the instructions.

January 11, 2024: The first new moon of 2024 is today in Capricorn, exact at 5:58 am CT. It’s a good time for setting intention, a new beginning. Make a short list of small steps toward a bigger goal. What can you do today that will move you closer toward your intention? For many of us, the year has had a slow start due to still feeling the effects of Mercury retrograde, but we’re nearly out of its shadow now. It’s not too late to start something new!

January 14, 2024: The waxing crescent moon in Pisces today may add dreaminess to your recent new moon intentions. Allow yourself to feel optimistic about reaching your goal. If things feel a bit fuzzy or out of focus, journal or share your feelings with a supportive friend.

January 17, 2024: The first quarter moon is exact today at 9:53 PM CT, in Aries. This is the week to create and take actions on last week’s new moon intentions. If you’re feeling resistance, maybe just do one thing and then rest. One thing will feel better than nothing. On the other hand, if that doesn’t happen, don’t beat yourself up. You don’t have to earn or justify resting, not even to yourself.

January 21, 2024: The waxing gibbous moon in Gemini is about reviewing what’s working and what’s not, then changing course if needed. It doesn’t have to be dramatic or a huge discussion. If you’re feeling indecisive, you’ll figure it out in a day or two, the closer we get to the upcoming full moon. Spend your energy on something fun or inspiring in the meantime.

Do what lights you up,

Sadie
